as to be stone cold oblivious
was beyond her perceptions
and far exceeded his cognition
that he vindicated the web spun
in the wake the damage that was done
remained imperceptible to her
consequences rendered
etched upon the cool pillow
stained in mascara
rinsed in the saline of too many tears
her side of the bed
as empty and cold
as his lies…
